Murals of La Jolla hosted its Annual Parking Lot Party on Thursday, September 26th. It was held at the site of June Edmond’s beloved mural, Ebony on Draper and Girard. The evening commenced with a curator-led guided mini-tour of the project, taking guests to view a few of the most recent murals. Once arriving back on-site, guests enjoyed delicious mediterranean food served alongside refreshing beverages, all set to live music by a guitar and trumpet duo.
The special guest for the evening was the Los Angeles-based artist Todd Gray. He shared a sneak peak of his upcoming mural and spoke about the ideas and concepts behind the piece he created for Murals of La Jolla. Executive Director Lynda Forsha and Art Advisory Committee Chair Patsy Marino warmly welcomed mural artists, donors, friends of the project, and property owners to the annual celebration as a celebratory thank you to all who make the Murals of La Jolla project possible.
